Comments on Isaac Asimov’s quote.

“Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It’s the transition that’s troublesome.”

Isaac Asimov

I read this quote and I thought…WOW, how completely and utterly true. Did it erase my fear of dying? Sadly no. But it did erase my fear of death. And there is an important distinction between the two. Namely one is an action and one is a noun. According to the quote the action is the troublesome area. And so I tried to think of the most pleasant and quickest way to die.

Believe it or not, I think that decapitation (if done right) would be the least painful and the quickest way to die, even though it is a horrifying act.

But think about it, one moment you’re alive and well; then about five seconds later you are through the troublesome transition and into the eternal peace.
